German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs (BMVBS)

The “Policy Principles” Directorate-General of the BMVBS has the main task to create the general framework for an efficient and environmentally acceptable transport system, which also contributes to improving the competitiveness of the German economy. It adopts an integrated, inter-modal approach and formulates strategic concepts. It initiates the implementation of these concepts and ensures their expression on the European level.

The Division “Questions of principle of research” contributes to the aims of the BMVBS by projects regarding the development of regulations, technical and non-technical guidelines, methods, models and processes.
